چکیده
The utilization of lignocellulose biomass as an alternative source renewable energy production via green technology is becoming important, and in line with sustainable development goal initiatives. Lignocellulolytic bacteria, such Bacillus spp., can break down by producing hydrolytic enzymes, which are crucial the successful conversion or lignocellulosic material into energy. This information gave rise to this study, where municipal solid waste sediments a sanitary landfill were sampled screened, lignocellulolytic bacteria isolated characterized. Samples taken from four different locations at Pulau Burung site Malaysia. Lignin starch used sources carbon identify potential that exhibit multi-enzymatic activity. growth rate doubling time bacterial isolates lignin criteria for selection. Eleven screened cellulase activity using iodine Congo red dyes. these ranged 0.8 1.7 U/mL. We carried out 16S rRNA gene sequencing phyla selected isolates. Phylogenetic analysis was also conducted based on sequences related species, tree generated Neighbor-Joining method. In proteolyticus, Sanguinis, spizizenii, paramycoides, paranthracis Neobacillus fumarioli identified promising capable expressing enzymes degrading present waste.

Waste generation and its control have taken an important role in our environment. With the doubling of population and changing lifestyle pattern of the inhabitants the quantity of municipal waste generated is increasing in an alarming rate. Most of this waste is subjected to dumping in a specified disposal yard. The greatest challenge to the environmentalists is the eco friendly management of t...

Uncontrolled growth of the urban population in developing countries in recent years has made solid waste management an important issue. Today municipal solid waste management (MSWM) is one of the most challenging issues in urban cities, which are facing a serious pollution problem due to the generation of huge quantities of solid waste. This results in development of environmentally sustainable...
متن کاملAirborne emissions of mercury from municipal solid waste. II: potential losses of airborne mercury before landfill.
Waste distribution and compaction at the working face of municipal waste landfills releases mercury vapor (Hg(o)) to the atmosphere, as does the flaring of landfill gas. Waste storage and processing before its addition to the landfill also has the potential to release Hg(o) to the air if it is initially present or formed by chemical reduction of Hg(II) to Hg(o) within collected waste. We measur...
